Hello classmates...
Our 40th Reunion Weekend has now drawn to a close. We hope everyone had a great time!
We are very thankful for the many positive comments we received throughout the weekend, but, from the start, our concept was simple: it's all about people and all we wanted to do was create casual opportunities for classmates to reconnect face-to-face in as many events as possible. So, the real thanks belong to everyone who came to Danville and joined in this reunion -- thank you so very much for taking the time to come and reconnect!!
There were 126 people at the reunion picnic (100 classmates and spouses from the class of 1971 and 26 from neighboring classes) and over 40 people at both the pre-game dinner on Friday and the farewell lunch on Sunday. We truly hope the friendships renewed this weekend will be sustained throughout the coming years as we look forward to the next reunion.
One thing we heard constantly was let's not wait 10 years until a 50th reunion, but rather let's look at holding a 45th reunion 5 years from now (just as the class of '66 did this weekend). In the meantime, we will continue to sustain our official classcreator.com class website at www.classcreator.com/Danville-California-San-Ramon-Valley-1971/index.cfm and also the Class of 1971 group on facebook at www.facebook.com/#!/groups/174359612620955/ .
Under the "MEMBER FUNCTIONS" section on the left side of the page at https://www.classcreator.com/Danville-California-San-Ramon-Valley-1971/ , you can "Edit/Upload Photos" to your profile. Everyone is encouraged to add your favorite pictures from this weekend. (…I’ll be doing that just as soon as I get home tomorrow night…) As soon as possible we plan to add a PHOTO GALLERY including all of the key photos taken by our official photographer (…at least as many as will fit within 200MB, that is). These official photographs can be downloaded and printed without charge. We’ll send a follow-up e-mail once the official photos are added to the site.
So, thanks for the fantastic reunion weekend and hasta la vista. Take good care.
Your reunion committee,
Bill Hicks, Karen Concannon Meyer, Lee DeCovnick, Tom Ladouceur, Lynne Spilker, and Diane Freudenberg-Hoffman.

Beverly Elliott Thanks for the wonderful weekend; can't remember when I had so much fun just talking W/old friends and making new ones. Yep - have taken notes... that I'll pass along to our reunion 'commitee'; we need to have other classes join in our reunion - that was a really good idea! Thanks again to you, Bill, and to all who made this happen!
